Assign an access role to a user

Types of access role and how to assign one to a user.

In Access Recruit, there are various access roles that you can assign, to ensure each user type has the relevant permissions.

Access role types

Note: Some permissions only appear where you've enabled certain modules.

Access role

Permissions

Basic Hiring Manager

  • Positions: Create, manage, and view their own positions.

  • Applications: Manage and view their own applications.

Hiring Manager

  • Interviews and venues: Create, manage, and view all in the system.

  • Scheduling: Create appointment slots and view the calendar.

Interviewer

  • Positions: View all in the system.

  • Interviewers and venues: Same as Hiring Manager.

  • Scheduling: Same as Hiring Manager.

Recruiter

  • Positions: View all in the system.

  • Applications: Manage and view all in the system.

  • External posting: Publish positions to agencies and job boards.

  • Worksites: Create, manage, and view all in the system.

  • Source of application options: Create, manage, and view all.

  • Onboarding records: View the history.

  • Sourcing: View agencies and job boards, and set up agencies and consultants.

SuperUser

  • Sourcing: Create, manage, and view all sources. Create, manage, and view all agency suppliers. View job boards.

  • Position templates: Edit default advert text.

  • Communication templates: Edit content.

  • Users: Create new users, make users inactive, reset passwords, and unlock accounts.

  • Scheduling: Same as Recruiter but can see all appointment slots.

Feature roles

  • Talent pool user: Add candidates to and manage talent pools.

  • Custom questionnaires user: Raise a new custom questionnaire.

  • Requisition user: View requisitions from SelectHR.

  • Onboarding admin: Create the onboarding record at the end of the workflow.

  • Reports: View the reporting suite for all data in the system.

  • Search and export: View reports for all data in the system.

  • Interviewer: Access to the Scheduling area.

Assign an access role

To assign an access role to a user, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Config then click User Groups.

  2. Next to the relevant access group, click the Edit icon.

  3. Under Granting Users, select the relevant user.

  4. At the bottom of the screen, click Update User Group.
